Ryan Madson came through with a solid 3 and two third innings at the ballpark
as the Burbank Tigers beat the Chainsaw Proctologists by the count of 3 to
1.
Nick Blackburn(4-8) was solid if not spectacular. He went 5 and 1/3 innings
surrendering 9 hits and no walks. Burbank managed 11 hits in their victory.
Blackburn got relief help from Madson who gained credit for his 6th save. The
loss was charged to Odalis Perez(6-6). He was unable to control the Burbank
offense and allowed 8 hits and 4 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.' said Blackburn, 'I got burned
on a couple of pitches. But we won the game, and that's all that matters.'
